Them's good eatin'.
I'm pretty sure I served horse meat for dinner this evening. I mean, maybe there was some mix up with the nearest glue factory. I'm just thinking...
Seriously, I opened a package of "ground beef" and began to fry it when I noticed that it smelled like the county fair. Not rancid, no. Not a spoiled smell (I would have tossed that.) No, this was USDA "fair grade" barn smellin' meat I detected.

Ok EWWWW! I know it probably wasn't horse meat, but just the thought of it!
Oh my. We have had that trouble with the meat we get from my family (they hunt, a lot) and occasionally I have had to return things that e just could not eat.
I too love homeschooling and getting to see our kids learn. My oldest did not have as easy a time as they both have veryious forms of LD--as do hubby and I. Praise the Lord for my training as a special ed teacher. Just out of curiousity--how did you find my homeschooling blog? I have it linked from my main site but haven't put it out there otherwise. You are not the first to wander in (no complaints, just haven't had the time or energy to make it more prominent.)
Heather,
I stumbled on your blog at Especially Heather's, thinking she and you were one and the same.

Blessings,

Hi Toni! I was so glad to get caught up and read about your family vacation. I was really excited for you to get to go since it's obvious from your writings how special that time is to you. I was so glad to read that it was all you had hoped for (except the movie, which I described exactly the same way to my hubby "like a cartoon back to the future" and I wasn't sure how our adopted niecie would percieve it.) Anyway, funny stories. I loved the fish story ending. Very special. Reminded me of my hubby and his dad before he passed away. Have a blessed day.
