Garlic kale soup (a great meal on a cold day)

Mmmm! I made this delicious soup today and served it with 4-grain whole grain bread and red pepper hummus. Everyone ate it with only slight resistance. Carl and I really liked it, as did Olivia and Brandon. Cierah was neutral in her response and Reece, as always, just got it down. He's always checking me, ingredient by ingredient, to see if his meal is perhaps laced with arsenic or the like. Sigh.

This soup packed with good-for-you "stuff" (especially vitamins C, A and K in the kale) and is cost-effective to make. The kale has zero bitter flavor after cooking, but retains wonderful texture. A win-win (unless you're Reece.) So for what it's worth, I thought I would share. Be sure to turn off the playlist at the bottom of the page before viewing the short video.
