There are many seasonings to flavor a meal, but they don't necessarily taste great when experienced at the same time. So too are the seasons of my life. I prefer to savor them individually (good or bad, chaotic or comical), being watchful for those daily blessings that help me to view my cup as half full. Thank you for joining me here In The Midst of this Season. Please leave a comment via the "comments" link at the end of a post so I'll know you stopped by! And do come again.

Toni, I couldn't get your picture to load, but I'm assuming it had something to do with 9/11. I still get teary-eyed anytime I see the Twin Towers. We can be watching an older movie, filmed in NY. If they show the Towers, you can be assured that my eyes will be very wet in a matter of seconds.
Of all things, some friends of mine were doing missionary work in Morocco (a closed country), when 9/11 took place. His b-day is on 9/11! He said he will surely remember that b-day for the rest of his life!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. Your comments added a new perspective on the devotion. :-)
It is strange that it's been 7 years. I remember that day so well. Now I have to make sure to change the channel if there are little eyes in the room since I don't think he's ready to comprehend the scene of that day. Really, I still don't comprehend it. It will always be a sad, sad day.

Thanks for posting this. It is extremely important for us all to remember Patriot's Day. Nancy was 7 months pregnant at the time and the boys were 3 and 2. I think about 30 or 40 guys went up to NY to help out. There were no names, the guys there would just yell out "Hey Cleveland! We need you over here" The I.D. came from the uniform markings. There are enough stories to write yet another 9/11 book.

Thanks for stopping by. Still no baby bu thopefully soon. Love the picture wish I would have done something like this on my blog. We must never forget.
What a beautiful reminder! I will never forget! How awful!! I remember so vividly hearing from a co-worker what had happened. We couldn't watch it on tv or visualize what was happening as we were in the classroom.
Friday is coming! Yay!
