Barbequed pizza, vegetarian style. Good Eatin'!

Our family has taken a liking to barbequed bean pizza. It's our substitute for barbequed chicken pizza and we were pleasantly surprised by how yummy it is. It's a great meatless substitute. And you don't have to add any sauce at all, as there is plenty of flavor and "sauce" in the Bush's Grilln' Beans. Oh, and the beans give the most wonderful texture to the crust.
Be different. Give it a try!

BBQ BEAN PIZZA
******************

-two 22 oz. cans Bush's GRILLIN' Beans (barbequed), lightly drained.
-one 20 oz. can pinapple tidbits in natural juice, drained.
-three Jiffy pizza crust mixes (or your preferred crust)
-1½ bags shredded pizza cheese (more or less as you desire)
-1/2 tsp. dry oregano
-optional: very thin pepper slices

-Preheat oven toe 425ยบ.
Make crusts according to directions on the box.
The dough is very moist after mixting and allowing to sit for 5 minutes. I then turn it out on the counter and knead a bit with additional flour until I achieve the desired texture.
Prebake crust for 3-4 minutes (water is the only ingredient added to Jiffy crust mix).
-spread beans over crust to within 1/2" of edges.
-Toss oregano with cheese, then add half the cheese to pizza.
-add pineapple layer
-add the remaining cheese.
-Bake for 14-15 minutes until crust is lightly browned.
-Cool slightly before slicing.

NOTE: For us, 3 Jiffy crusts makes one large rectangular pan and one round pizza pan.

This pizza sounds so easy and yummy! I think we'll try it out on our menu plan next week! Do you have any other quick and easy recipes you can share?

Oh. My. Goodness. I am finally catching up on YOUR life and cracking up as I read! Sweet Olivia and her vocabulary mishaps, and precious Reece learning about communion...if it makes you feel any better my Donovan grimaces every time because he thinks the little bread squares tast gross. Your kids are such fun blog fodder!
And feel free to leave a book...er...long comment any time, my friend! You always make me smile! And the thought of crossing a finish line with Toni and Sniz cheering me on, let's just say that sounds almost too good to be true! What fun we could have...and after your long hours of standing and cheering you would SO deserve to join Karen and I in a post-race pampering session, no? :)
Walking 11 minute mile? Are you kidding? If I can RUN that fast I will break my goal of a 1/2 marathon in under 2 1/2 hours! She could WALK that fast? Maybe I am going about this thing all wrong. :)
Looks like I am leaving quite a novel here...your enthusiasm must have rubbed off!
