New nickname

They called me Antwan in highschool. My full name is Antoinette and it was too long for the computerized name lists that each teacher clutched as we dawned on new horizons (a.k.a. the classroom). So with every new freshman class I walked into, my name was called out as, "Antwan" ("Here!")

Today I visited a new blog. When the word verification came up, I had to type this:
TIONSCA
Now, TION is a scrambled form of my name. So I'm thinking of adopting this as my new nickname. Because BOO-YAH, there's such a great ring to it. TIONSCA (pronounced SHUN-SCAH!) G'head, say it with me. TIONSCA! Mighty nice.

Oh no, I never thought about having a name that was too long and cut off.
Antoinette is pretty!

LOL. I can't say it without thinking of the Schwans truck that drives through the neighborhood. :) Toni is much better.

I wanted to leave a comment, but couldn't find a guest book. I've visited your blog a few times after seeing it in your signature from the MFW board. You have a way of writing the captures the readers interest and also makes light of real life. I enjoy reading your stuff.

You cracka me up! Unfortunately, there are not a whole lotta attractive nicknames for Jeanine. One friend used to call me Neiner...not sure if I should have shared that one! :) Hope your New Year has started off with a bang...of the blessed kind!
BTW...the word verification on your comment page right now reads brism...wonder what you could do with that one?

Jeanine,
BRISM!
It's what we must be through God's eyes.
Brisms: brilliant prisms of brokenness through which He can shine. Before Him, we are surely mere shards of brokenness. But fashioned BY Him, we are his brilliant prisms and thus He shines through us, reflecting the light of His love to others. Brisms! Yep, that's what it means. ;)
Blessings,
~Toni~

I like it. It is much better than Antwan. How embarrassing for a teenage girl just starting highschool.

Hey, Toni, what's the online software you use to enhance your photo and fit several on one sheet again? I can't remember.
Oh and the word verification I got was "caption". But I like brism better!

It's Picasa 3. It's nice for a simple, free program.
